So, full disclosure: This is my first smart scale, and I've started tracking the Monday after Thanksgiving because I love yourself just a nice feeling. And also because my doctor said I probably should if I don't want to wheeze prematurely. Visually, the scale looks very high quality, with an all-glass lid and an auto-on function - you stand on it and it rotates. on the. If recently moved, it will briefly display "CAL" while the load cells are being calibrated. The weight readings seem fairly consistent, especially compared to our previous digital scales, which would have displayed differently if it hadn't been used all night (you had to step on it, step off it, and then get up again to get a repeatable one Reading). It doesn't have this problem. The only thing I didn't like was the white LED display on a translucent white background. I realize it looks cool, but it's hard to read in direct sunlight, and our bathroom window shines directly onto the floor during the day. For the other metrics, you need to download an app called FormFit+ to access them. I went ahead and signed up for an account — I don't want to track progress, but I do — and the app recognized the scale as soon as I stepped on it. After a few seconds, all of the information shown in the screenshot above was displayed, accompanied by a descending whistle (imagine a cartoon character slipping on a banana peel), which I can only assume is consistent with my current weight and BMI related. I really didn't know that I didn't appreciate that sound. I'm not a body conscious person, although I'm not entirely insensitive to my weight and shape, but oh well. If you don't have a perfect body, and admit it, it's an unhealthy and impossible concept anyway. The last thing you want when trying to lose weight and get healthy is a judgmental app trying to shame you. For that (and for the legibility of the display) I had to deduct a star. Overall, this is a good product at a reasonable price given the quality and features. I continue on my weight loss journey.
