The original CucinaPro waffle maker (with handle) was well designed and worked great. The heart shape was so cute and a nice change from the round design. But mine died after 8 months of use. The company sent a replacement that was much lighter and seemed cheap. They removed the beep feature (which was annoying when I first got it, but I got used to it and started to really rely on the beep). The old machine produced 4 out of 6 waffles with the ideal level of crispiness for us. The new one could not bake the dough at maximum power: the dough was light and raw. I tried leaving the waffles in the machine for 4 minutes on the highest "done" setting and while the waffle looks brown/done on the outside, the batter isn't done on the inside and it was wilted instead of crispy. A total disappointment, even if the replacement was technically "free". Not worth the money for 8 months. Now I'm going to use the Cuisinart waffle maker.
