The biggest disappointment, which would have put me off buying it if I had known about it beforehand, is that the screen is too dark to use in bright light. The only reason I bought the camera was to use it on the beach, usually in very bright sunlight. The screen was so dark in the sun that I couldn't tell if the camera was on or off when I looked at the screen. When sailing with him literally had to "point and shoot". I tried aiming the camera at the subject at a 90 degree angle both vertically and horizontally, but I couldn't tell if I was getting what I was looking for until I left the beach. Other aspects of the camera are minimally acceptable. It's waterproof. It produces a 5MP image (mine I believe the advertised 16MP has been digitally manipulated). It has acceptable controls. I knew the specs were minimal, but having used the simpler, cheaper Kodak 640 x 480 pixel underwater camera, which performed fairly well with lower specs than the Coleman, I expected more from this camera than I got.
