It's a lot easier to set the time than using an app on your phone, Apple Watch or other high tech device . Having 6 means you can leave them where you need them. one uses his magnet to be on a metal fan cover over the stove. one is next to the bed to sleep. one by the front door for the lawn sprinkler. one next to my computer to remind me to take a break. and I have more! I might put one in the sleeper etc. The alarm is loud enough to be heard from room to room. It will also wake you up from your nap. the alarm clock doesn't go off forever if you don't stop it, which is nice. I think it sounds like maybe 20 seconds or a minute. Not noticed. It's long enough to be heard, but not long enough to be a nuisance when you can't pick up the phone to turn it off (unlike my microwave!). They're easy to set up and remember the last setting when you turn them off and on again. . Literally press the minute button as many times as you want to set the minutes. so a 5 or 20 minute install takes just a second. Then press the start button and the countdown will begin. If you have that many, really use them. If you only had one and had to take it out of the kitchen to take a nap in the bedroom, it would hurt. but having six is great! You will find that you will time everything. Set an alarm on your computer to remind you to take a break, etc. They use the same battery. I just received a box of Dollarbaum batteries and while Dollarbaum batteries often age, none of them are dead. I turn off the side switch after using them. I haven't had any bad ones, but when you get six in a pack it doesn't matter if you get a bad one. Highly recommended!
