User friendly interface, easy to implement in applications with builtin support of SQL queries/statements as well as its ability supports all major programming languages (SQL or No Sql).
Data can be stored locally which is useful when you don't have access to network connectivity sometimes. Lack of native compression options available at this moment would've been helpful but I guess we'll see it coming up soon from YB team itself! Its not bad yet since there are so many other databases that lack these features like AWS Redshift etc., hence no big deal right now though considering how new yugabytedb database platform has got lot more attention recently compared to others out here. We use yubyte db within our application currently where users perform some heavy read write operations over their data sets mostly text files uploaded by them using different APIs provided by us internally.
