Doesn't work with all ticks; not recommended for nymphs.

Probably works well on most adult ticks and is great for fat, bloated ticks that may already be carriers of disease, but will not work on very small ticks or nymphs. I had a 1mm deer tick nymph that only stuck 30 minutes and was very difficult to remove with a tick wrench. The thinnest part of the tick key is about 0.75 mm. If you reduce it to 0.50mm or 0.35mm it works with the last 5%.
