Some reviewers have noticed that the inner lining is separating from the outer lining making it difficult to wear. We didn't have that. It is true that the inner lining is not connected to the other; So the trick is to put your hand inside the inner lining and then pull the outer lining (the wool outer piece) towards your wrist. The outer lining sits perfectly. We tried to figure it out on day one, but by day 2 we were set. The rope was annoying and I worried about it snaking around her neck. So I cut them off. My 8 year old and 6 year old used the same size comfortably. Very warm. And that's the best. Mittens that really warm children's hands. Highly recommended.
