After the bad reviews I took the risk anyway. I'm glad I did. The 1st picture shows how far the lever arm goes forward. I keep a bolt that goes through a nut in the tank. Figure 2 shows how far the hand moves in the opposite direction. Also shown is a nut through the tank outside of the body and handle. The third photo shows the installation. I gave it 4 stars not because the grip itself was an issue, it was a non-standard hole in the tank. I had to use a chop saw to alter the nut to fit the hole. The bent tank wasn't a problem (made by Crane). Even with this modification, the installation took less time than writing this review! Of course I was curious about some of the issues in the negative reviews. So I took it apart to see if I could see the problem. I think some of the problems were with the plumber. In summary, it's easy to modify to fit a custom hole, it fits a curved tank and it has the option to mount a side handle. Update: I would like to mention that the seat can bang against the handle so don't put it on the baby toilet they all bang!
