Review on IntelliFeed Aquarium Fish Feeder by Michelle Vazquez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well so far

I've tried both granules and flakes and it makes a decent amount. This way you can program multiple rotations for each of the 4 feeding periods. With flakes I usually have to flip the feeder 2 or 3 times to get the right amount of food. That's the kind of flexibility this device offers, and it's very nice. Let's see how it holds up over time. I have two issues that lower my rating to 4 stars: 1) The mounting brackets need some machining. I'm using this on a standard 20 gallon tank that has black beveled piping around the top of the tank. I haven't been able to mount a unit with any kind of stability on this type of tank top without adding some spacers inside the tank. Aside from this issue, it is now very stable and well installed. 2) The reservoir shell is removed from the refill. This container also has a front lid that can be removed to add food. If you remove the tray while the feeder is installed, be careful not to let the tray front cover pop out. This happened a few times and the food ended up in the tank. Be careful to remove the container carefully and not let the lid pop out. Perhaps the latch will come in handy in future projects.

Cons
