Very strong elastic band, Velcro is very strong, definitely not cheaply made like a few others I've bought and spent money on. I was able to put it on and tighten it with both hands. I immediately felt relief in my lower back and hips. It was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a large size because I wanted to wear it lower on my back, more on my hips and lower stomach. I have a compression fracture and sciatica, it hurts terribly. I just got my braces in the mail and put them on about 15 minutes ago so I may update later. still in good condition, not stretched or lost. Nothing is crumbled or cracked. I am so happy with this product it has brought me such relief from this debilitating injury!
