I'm going to compare these two models because the Logitech M510 is a "restyling" of the Logitech LX8, which is why I'm doing it. It should come as no surprise that the M510 is an improvement on its predecessor. Since I started using the mouse four months ago, I have no issues about it. 1. The M510 has a SIGNIFICANTLY longer signal reception distance and transmission distance when compared to the LX8. 2. The side buttons on the M510 are also more user-friendly than those on the LX8; on the LX8, I found myself inadvertently touching them with my finger and even had to turn them off. 3. The battery life of the M510 on a single charge was significantly longer than anyone had anticipated. It would appear that the batteries in it have an infinite lifespan. 4. The most important piece of guidance is that you should get a rug for your rodent because, if you don't, the pads that are on its legs will wear off very quickly. Also, there will be no accumulation of dust on the table. For my own gaming needs, I rely on Steelseries' rag QCK.
