After consulting with my doctor and finding that my knee pain was not caused by a serious injury, I purchased and tried a Lift Knee Support Orthosis through Revain. I went from the pain at the end of the 3 miles to yesterday's painless 5 mile run. However, I cannot stress enough that you should have your knee pain professionally diagnosed before getting braces. There could be something serious that could get worse if you keep running. Like other running gear, the bandage will sweat profusely, so the manufacturer recommends washing it every few days. Good idea. I'll probably order a few more of these so I'll never have to go without them.
