This comes rolled up in a tube. I was worried that it wouldn't lay flat and when I laid it on the ground it did roll up. However, just standing on it for a minute made it rest completely flat against the floor. This is a bright mat! The colors pop out and are perfect for Halloween. It feels soft not rough like other door mats. It's surprisingly comfortable to stand on. It felt padded even though the mat isn't the thickest. The back of the rug was not smooth and prevented the mat from moving. It does come with instructions on how to wash this mat. The only thing I noticed was that one part of the rug, the black end, was not connected the same was the rest of the edges. It almost looked like it came to an end there and it was connected to the next piece. It's not too noticeable especially as a door mat. All in all this is a really cute, vibrant, door mat!
