Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Houseables Blacksmith Resistant Stitching for Enhanced Blacksmithing Performance by Maurice Harvey

You get what you pay for

This is one of the cheapest leather aprons at Revain (or was when I bought it). This applies to both price and quality. The main issue is the build quality. The skin is rough on both sides. It's quite difficult to adjust while wearing it; I had to ask a friend to set it up for me while I stood there. The alignment of the belts is severely disturbed; it's not centered at all. One of the buttons on the front pocket came loose on the second pull. In fact, the thing is cheap. To be fair, that's what I expected, and it's good enough for what I needed, which is a light blacksmith's apron. It serves its purpose and I don't regret the purchase. Just understand you are getting a low price and poor workmanship/fit and finish. If you're okay with that compromise, then go for it. If not, go somewhere else.

Pros
  • STRENGTH REINFORCEMENT: Split cowhide is reinforced with rivets at all stress points. After repeated use, the skin naturally becomes softer, more elastic and less stiff. This wear-resistant material repels hazards such as weld spatter, grinding sparks, sawdust and drill debris, protecting you and keeping your apron from damage or dirt. Conversely, synthetic fibers can burn violently, melt and cause severe burns and abrasions.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
