Review on 🔀 CABLEDECONN 8K DisplayPort Switch Bi-Directional Converter for Multiple Sources and Displays, supporting 8K@30Hz and 4K@120Hz. by Andrew Kay

I bought two of these. I have a Samsung ultra wide gaming monitor with two DisplayPorts and one HDMI port. It has a picture-by-picture feature that allows me to switch between two computers with a few clicks from the OSD. Two computers: I have a 2013 Mac Pro with two GPUs, each capable of running at 2560 x 1440 @ 100Hz via Thunderbolt ports, one connected to a DP 1.4 port and the other connected to the monitor's HDMI port have. I'm also using a Windows 10 computer with an NVIDIA RTX 3090 GPU that can run the entire monitor at 5120 x 1440 at 120Hz, so I connect it to a different DisplayPort on the monitor. I thought I could switch between two computers faster if I bought these two switches. Based on the description and specs, I figured I could connect the Windows DP cable and one of the Mac Pro DP cables to the switch, and then plug the other Mac Pro DP cable into the second switch. No matter how I hooked things up, I got a reasonably stable picture at best, albeit with the occasional flash and flicker. In the worst case, one of the boxes would have horrendous streaks of trash and random scraps of imagery. I also haven't seen any UL or **actual** FCC markings anywhere (there is an "FC" marking on the back of the bags that the devices came in, but it's definitely not the same as the markings that appear on listed on the FCC website ).
