I don't care what the Chinese brand says about their quality control. You can't hear someone through their speaker and forget to transmit if your mic is covered in snow or mud. Bottom line, I use it for critical communication in the backcountry. In the snowstorm I was able to contact the other side. The cheap Chinese alternative was a toy. If you have a powerful tool in your communications arsenal, do yourself a favor and don't settle for a cheap imitation. Get the original when your life depends on it.
