My mother (age 100 in 2 days) had an older version of this phone for the last 10 years and the volume control wasn't working and neither did her hearing when I bought her this new phone. She didn't have to learn how to use it because she came very close to the old ones, which had a positive effect on the telephone system. She loves the new volume control that she can use to make calls. Call blocking is easier too. I've lived with her for over a year and this new dual cordless phone is perfect for us; each of us has one. The new color is more attractive than the old black ones. We love the new phone system and it has made life easier for my almost 100 year old mother.
