I bought a model 3420 with a boxed cooler. fell for advertising from childhood when they played Pentium 2, 3, 4 on TV. Since 2022, I have been sitting on AMD 5000+ and now I decided to upgrade, otherwise something began to bug out the old hardware. CPU performance score went up from 5.5 to 7.1 in windows7. not a very big achievement, but there is progress in 6 years. I was pleased with the built-in video core: graphics for games 6.6 desktop graphics 5.9. for comparison, I had a discrete video card gifors 8400, the performance was 2 times worse, but it was enough for me. for those who think that it is better to take a Pentium or a Celeron, I advise you to take a Celeron, about a thousand (one and a half times) cheaper, the performance is only 10-15% lower. If you do not play games and do not use sophisticated applications, then you will not really feel the difference. the seven loads in 10-12 seconds, but most likely this is the merit of the ssd disk, and not the processor. I also advise you not to rush into buying new hardware, because the good old stumps of the four and celerons on the 775 socket still serve correctly. although they are a little more voracious and the process technology there is not 22nm but 65nm or something like that. not the fact that the new processors will work just as long.
