Do not use the supplied adhesive tape to stick the adapter to the drive unless it is absolutely necessary, otherwise you will never be able to remove it and you will not be able to reuse the drive or the adapter . The friction of the pins holds the adapter in place in most cases. In general, this is the right decision.
