I chose this for a project to assemble some free PC parts into a working machine and then found that the graphics card that came with it was something of a resource hog was need 650 watts. Having already opened it before getting the other parts I decided to use it on our Plex server which is a Dell Optiplex 390. This turned out to be a daunting task as the standard Optiplex PSU is slightly smaller. After some struggle and partial removal of the latch on the side of the case and some verbalized hassle, I managed to install it. There is a noticeable difference in response speed since the old PSU had less power. All in all it's a good investment considering the server machine is running almost all the time and this PSU is much more energy efficient. Even though I got used to it through an accident, I would recommend it to anyone in a similar situation with a steady hand and some patience. - husband rating
