I needed a soldering iron for a simple project where I was attaching connectors to a pair of ESP32 development boards that came with separate connectors. I could do it with this hardware with a little hassle. His stand was useless. It is very poorly constructed and nothing prevents it from folding and dropping a hot iron on the table. So be extra careful if you still want to use this stand. It doesn't help that the iron's power cord is fairly stiff and one tug is enough to collapse the stand and drop the iron. The power control on the iron was off center and could not move, however this is easily resolved by disassembling and reassembling the iron.
