I needed a soldering iron for a simple project where I was attaching connectors to a pair of ESP32 development boards that came with separate connectors. The iron is very cheap and it shows, but I only needed something for the occasional quick and dirty soldering in my apartment. It's good enough for some basic soldering work, but don't expect it to do and remake SMD or anything like that. The tips are surprisingly good and hold up well. I recommend not using the sponge that comes with it, do yourself a favor and buy a brass razor tip cleaner to protect the tips!
