This is a high quality, durable stand. However, I don't use it that way. I have a cat who loves to walk and lie on my keyboard. She turned off the computer when I was doing something, typed gibberish, and usually put it on airplane mode. Installing this keyboard stand stopped this. She can walk back and forth as much as she wants without disturbing my work. I still have to move her when she lays down to see the screen, but I don't keep restarting my computer wondering why the pages aren't loading. The keyboard is a little low for typing, but my hands are small and I can handle it, but I'm considering raising it about an inch. However, it serves the purpose I wanted, which is why I love it.
