I really liked this unit and I tested it first to make sure it worked and it works but today I finally got it to smoke from Flesh used was useless, if I went more than ten feet away it would lose signal so it would just shut down. I had three meats and was trying to track them all when this unit just cut itself out, even when I found somewhere it was picking up a signal it lost it after a minute. And yes, I used new batteries. So after only one use it comes back very disappointed, what a pity. Maybe I'm broken, I don't know, although I've since read reviews with similar issues, so I'll keep looking for something better.
