I tried using it as an external monitor for an iPad via the Lightning to HDMI connector. A box that said "INPUT NOT SUPPORTED" floated all over the screen. The problem is that this monitor supports a very limited number of resolutions and the one the iPad puts out isn't one of them. I used the same setup on a different, bigger/better monitor, didn't have this issue. I was looking for the smallest HDMI monitor I could find for this purpose and had high hopes. They were quickly defeated.
