I bought these shoes because I really liked the Low Pro model. The Low Pros offer good traction on snow and ice, but can still be worn on hard surfaces like concrete and indoor floors. These High Pros have longer tungsten carbide lugs so I expect them to offer even better traction on ice/snow when conditions get really rough. I can't confirm this at the moment because it's summer now, but I'll edit my review this winter if I find any issues. What I really like about both models is their build quality and durability as well as the ease of putting them on and taking them off. Aside from the different color and lug length, the High Pro and Low Pro models appear to be identical. When I bought them last winter most styles and sizes were 39.99. I recently bought my pair of High Pros for 24.99 so maybe the price will go down in the warmer months.
