Review on πŸ”’ Efficient Heavy Duty Pack Vacuum Sealers Unlimited: Preserving with Superior Performance by John Pound

Works very well

I love these bags. I bought these after running out of the accessories that came with my food vacuum sealer. From the looks of them they are too big to fit in the built in food saver so I only rotated half of them to fit. Haven't tried boning anything yet, but it looks like it will hold up without worrying about a flat tire. These pouches seal fairly well with both dry and wet food. They don't have "markers" to help with a straight cut like stock rolls did, but I can live without them. I will buy more when I run out. Update 9-17-16: So I researched sous vide cooking and they seem to require sealed bags that can withstand cooking (yes) without leaching chemicals. I have Not noticing that All packages specifically mention that they are safe for sous-video or cooking. Luckily, this one says in retrospect that it is. Once my sous vide machine arrives and I get a chance to try it out with these packs I'll be sure to post an update on how well it held up in the boiling water. :) Update 1-5-17: Well I've used them with a sous vide machine and they seem to handle 170F water well for 3.5 hours. This is the highest temperature and the longest time. I have them in the car for. Can't tell if it leaches chemistry due to temperature, but I don't notice any "unusual" flavors, so I suspect it doesn't, I hope it doesn't :) It serves me well, although I do it's almost out of my needs so i will buy more :)
