I ordered this item because I was intrigued by the concept. I have two cats and two litters. They're in the basement so you can't see them and my kids and I share the responsibility of checking the boxes a couple of times a day to make sure they stay clean so we don't come across cats that stray behave badly. We use a regular plastic spoon and put the clumps of waste in a plastic bag, which we immediately take outside to our recycling bin. I had doubts that this shovel would make this process much easier, and I was right. The tool works as described, but is too big and too small at the same time. Because it's larger and more angular than a regular scoop, I found it difficult to maneuver in the litter box, especially in corners where my cats tend to pee and I sometimes have to clean. On the other hand, the litter box seems big enough, but it isn't. On the first day after unpacking I had to change the bag in the collection box 4 times. Cool idea but not worth the extra time it takes to maneuver the item in the box and change the entire bag. I'm sticking with the old method.
