They get a lot for the money but they are very light and have a weak spring. I use mine as scale model clamps and for my purposes they are too weak to be useful. I have bought several from Radio Shack for over twenty years, which are still very solid and work well, although if you attached the wires and actually used them for test leads, they "might" be solid enough.
