Review on HumanCentric Compatible Mounting Bracket Soundbar by Dennis Moonin

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Bad equipment. Neat mount. The wall sensor can be easily deactivated.

The overall design is decent. The foam on both sides is well designed and should help keep it noise free. I have a problem with the quality of the equipment. The 2 bolts connecting the 2 halves together were threaded very poorly. In fact, it would be impossible to use it. I stamped both of them to make the carving work. Now a note on how Sonos detects the wall mount and how to bypass it. I mounted it to the wall on 1/2 thick hardwood. Without a subwoofer, I wanted to keep the bass that Sonos turns off when it feels like it's wall mounted. There is no option in the menu to bypass this feature. This is very easy to avoid. With the bracket attached to the wall as it is mounted, you need to look to the right side of the bracket. Although you can't see it, there is a magnet about an inch and a half from the end. This magnet tells the speaker that it is wall mounted. Just separate the foam from the metal a bit. You see a magnet. Squeeze it from the other side and it comes out. Then the speaker doesn't feel like it's installed and you keep all the bass.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Good but not great
