I've just started experimenting with nail art and am new to gel nails. There were definitely no clear or helpful instructions (there weren't as far as I recall) on how to use them. Not oozing through before curing didn't work, so I tried curing it a bit and then taking it off, but then it was almost impossible. There aren't many designs and they can't be reused, so I tried cutting them into smaller pieces, which only made them more difficult to use. Maybe it's because I don't have much experience. If you are new to nail art I would not recommend it.
