Review on ASLAM Refills Conventional Windshield Wipers by Khaled Ribeiro

Fits 2012 Subaru Outback Factory Wiper Blades

I usually buy replacement wiper blades from my local auto parts store (LAPS). This time I had to check out because the regular ad only showed the wiper blades. The clerk said he only had the drivers side for my car but then he couldn't find it in the back. He offered to order them for me; Instead, I decided to try Revain. I received them the next day. It's just rubber; You will need to reuse the steel stiffeners (called studs in my Subaru manual). The factory lugs were thicker than the lugs that come with the replacement Trico wiper heads I bought from LAPS. The factory spikes are also curved and the concave side should face the windshield. The thicker spikes were harder to get into the grooves of the squeegee rubber by pulling all 3 through the squeegee arm handles, so I put the rubber through the handles first and the first spike slid through the groove and handles. The second back was solid; I had to remove the rubber band and the first tip from the 2 hooks on the end, pull the second tip to the end of the rubber, and then pull all 3 to the end of the wiper blade. Glue all 3 together and pull through might also work. When I started working on the passenger side wiper I noticed some dirt on the spikes so I cleaned them. I was able to easily fit both spikes and trim the rubber to fit the shorter length of this wiper blade (475mm vs 650mm). Another note: the closed end of the squeegee should be at the bottom of the blade as it slides across the windshield. With this rubber, the wipers work smoothly, evenly and quietly, but that's with washer fluid. They haven't passed the storm test yet, and I don't know the lifespan.
