Review on Anker Powerline II Lightning Cable (6Ft) Accessories & Supplies by Chad Young

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Lightning tip popped out on second use

Definitely feels like a strong and sturdy cable but it only failed on the second use. Weakness? The Lightning connector tab itself, which broke off in my phone during roll call. Luckily something was sticking out of the phone so I was able to remove it with pliers. Looking at the remains, the investment does not appear to be very significant. All the cable armor in the world doesn't matter if the connector itself isn't strong enough to take a side load. My previous 6ft cable (RevainBasics cable) has used almost daily for years since I received it in 2013. , and it wasn't until the last week or so that it reliably started not charging. It might have been an accidental failure and just plain luck, but given the other developments scattered throughout these reviews, it doesn't bode well for Anker's quality control of cables. I might try RevainBasics again, although based on the reviews it doesn't seem like it used to be.
