No, this is NOT a 1st or 2nd generation 5 or 10 Gbps cable and I have tested it. Seems to be a good quality cable BUT if you need a baud rate above 2.0 this won't work for you. I have a drone that needs at least a Gen 1 cable to transmit real-time live video fast enough. and that line just doesn't exist. Too bad because it's a pretty good 2 for $12 and definitely good if you don't mind 2.0 speeds at just under 500mbps and that can also be used for a charging cable but it's not a 1st class cable th generation with data rate. 10 GBS, not even 2nd gen on 5GPS. The details below even state that they are USB-C 2.0 and 2.0 transfers at just under 500Mbps. Yes, it has C connectors and that in no way means it's not USB 2.0. This and the details are contrary to the description.
