When you need to hold and charge your phone while riding a motorcycle. Buy this. Extremely safe even on the back hills with potholes impeding the lakefront drive to Chicago. Seriously the roads suck, I do 60 mile air races regularly and this mount still holds up with no issues. Installation was easy, the wires are fused and long enough that no additional wires were needed in my case. also the power supply is activated by a switch with an indicator light, so there is *absolutely* no need to hook up a relay for "switched power". Everything is very well thought out, a great addition to any bike!
