I bought these for a good price and I have other Ecco shoes that I really like I thought to myself couldn't be wrong. Well for Ekko I'm 43 sometimes but usually 44 so I got both sizes and expected to return one. The 43's were noticeably tight in the forefoot/upperfoot and each flex really dug into the top of my foot. The 44s were an improvement and definitely the right size for me, but they were still very uncomfortable at the top of the foot when the shoe flexed. Looking at how the shoe flexes as you walk, I don't think breaking in can solve it. As poor as the fit is, the outsole is even more confusing as it feels like hard/smooth/flexible plastic. This not only adds a lot of weight to the shoe, but also makes skating on laminate floors child's play. This might be fine if you're walking on concrete pavement, but anything slippery is a real hazard, even on dry surfaces. This can be solved with as the material under that top layer might be different, but I wasn't planning on using it and finding out. Comfort, weight and traction. Might borrow shoes from the bowling alley but it will be close by.
