Review on Tram 140MHz-170MHz + 430MHz-470MHz Dual Band NMO Antenna (1181): Efficient Wireless Communication Solution by Kim Schenk

Finally decided to drill a hole in the roof of my car and install a real antenna. This antenna is the equivalent of the 1185 magnetic mount. I initially used the 1185 with good results, but didn't like the coax cable that went through the ceiling. I also bought a 3/4nm mount and installed this antenna in the center of the roof above the dome. Performance is better than the magnetic mount and the coax cable is now hidden down to the radio. The SWR is very flat on all bands. I am very happy with this antenna and will probably get another one for my truck.
