In the past I have used hand held sprayers that pump paint. I really like this pistol. It is very easy to use and easy to clean. You can soak the parts in a solution of mild soap and water. I sprayed my car with Rustoleum and soaked the parts in water with some Awesome, which I always use to clean latex. I applied 2 coats and further thinned the second coat. The second layer laid down incredibly quickly with a wider pattern. I will probably use this gun for painting wood and shiny latex. Going from thick to thin paint and manipulating the air pressure I can say that after some experimentation it will adjust to a really good finish. I used to use compressors and airbrushes, but at 62 I want fun and ease. I paid $2,500 for a 150,000 mile car, so I knew it wasn't going to be prime paint, but I covered the cancer on top. My advice: try this gun, it's pretty cool and will spray. Great for small jobs but knowing myself I would spray it on a long fence. The turbo clears the fog with a small spray. Start with half to full propeller to get it working. I've seen many reviews that say the gun doesn't even fire. Dilute it by 15% and if that doesn't work, dilute it a little more.
