What I liked was the classic look and feel. What I didn't like is that after making a dry martini (no vermouth) only a kettle and ice. He's stuck! (And of course I thought I was being penalized for not buying it with a plastic seal.) But to avoid scratching it, I wrapped it in a rag and perched on a stool on a kitchen island, straddling the shaker my legs and rested. Flathead screwdriver against the washcloth at an angle to the top of the shaker, tap it with a hammer (once) and voila! it's peeled off! So next time I'll put the hammer, screwdriver and rag in the kitchen island drawer.
