Well I find a metal hammer to be a stronger and more durable hammer than a standard wooden handled hammer from Vaughn or Husky. This advantage is missing with this hammer. The denial of warranty and the risk of damaging my $200 hammer by hitting other steel tools or objects is unacceptable in terms of price or utility. In my experience half of what I aim for will void the warranty on this stiletto hammer or affect its durability or functionality. Also, I can't use this hammer like I would use a metal handled Eswing hammer for fear of bending or breaking the claws or shaft of the handle. Save your money and buy a standard Eswing claw hammer or even one of their fancy $40 hammers with the same functionality, weight, more features and longer durability at a lower price. That being said, this stiletto is extremely balanced in the center of the handle, the weight and feel is top notch, and it's a very nice tool that I want to give my dad as a gift because I've never used it. Can't complain or return as it's a very good tool with good build quality, but its materials and durability ratings combined with the warranty make it almost useless for my job.
