I research everything from lightbulbs to baking sheets before making a purchase. This purchase was no different. I needed a scale that could handle multiple light and heavy measurements, had a tare function, and was easy to clean. The first thing I did when I received the scale was put in the calibration weights (from my work station) to verify accuracy. 1 ounce was perfect, ten times in a row. The 5 pound weight was also on top 10 times in a row. So far, so good! At home I used it for dry ingredients for baking in grams. After zeroing the weight of the small bowl (the tare function), I began adding the ingredients. Its sensitivity easily allowed me to add more until I reached the desired amount. Cleaning is not required. I then put a layer of cling film on top of it and used it to weigh the bun dough. Cleaning is not required. The second time I made the buns, I skipped the cling film and just used a bare glass lid. I cleaned everything with kitchen cleaning spray and paper towels, easy day. The top isn't detachable like some models, but I didn't think it mattered. Storage is just as easy. The scale is very thin and easily fits in a closet on its side. I don't think you will regret this scale so stop wasting time reading this and make a purchase. Much luck!
