Review on 🐾 DCP89042 Coastal Pet Products: Stainless Steel Titan Dog Shock Spring with Snap Cable Accessory by Eric Hay

My dog was tied to a cable in the backyard about 30 feet from me while I was picking blackberries. I'm very careful with that. He never leaves the leash and never goes outside unsupervised. We live in a rural area with little traffic and when he heard a dump truck drive by he ran to check on it. As soon as he hit the end of the cable attached to that shock spring, it burst. I couldn't grab him fast enough and he ran down the street dragging a 30 foot cable. Since that part failed, he could have been injured or killed. My pets are my family. I would never, ever recommend this to anyone. It's not worth the risk. That shock spring failed me, and I failed my dog by trusting him with my safety. I'm disappointed in myself for buying something I knew wouldn't help other dog owners. And I'm outraged that this company continues to sell such a poor quality product. The description says "made of stainless steel" and "robust construction for greater strength and safety". It's definitely neither.
