Review on ๐ŸŒ Garmin Approach S62 Bundle: Premium Golf GPS Watch, 3 CT10 Club Tracking Sensors, Virtual Caddie, Mapping, Full Color Screen - Black by Derrick Shah

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's great as a long distance base watch

I just want to know how far to the green (front, center and back), how far to selected obstacles or corners, and how far was my last shot and this one Watch does this easily and brilliantly, just by turning your wrist or tapping the screen. Also keep points. For that I give five stars. As you approach the tee it shows the shape of the hole, dangerous positions and distance to the green. If you need more information, you can simply tap on any part of the hole image to see the distance to that point as well as the distance to the hole from that point. Easy and uncomplicated. It also has a number of other nifty features, like a sort of 'virtual caddy' where you can input your club usage and it will track it and suggest a club for your shot over time. based on average past performance, but who really needs it? I also think they have other features in their respective phone app but I couldn't get it to work. I have bluetooth to connect to, but all the phone app wants is to "play" a round. I can't remove stats from the watch. I assume the function exists somewhere, but I didn't need it. The bad news is that after about 20 rounds the watch stops responding to the main button (which you press to "play golf now"). I have to keep resetting the watch using the middle button/settings/reset to be able to do a lap. Also, it takes a long time (5 minutes?) to find satellites, so just select 'Play Golf' when you get to the course, not when you're on the first course. But for the basics, it's great.

Pros
  • Nice design
Cons
  • Useless features
