I ordered this after recent struggles with three other USB bluetooth dongles on my Dell Optiplex 9010 unit where I was basically trying to send audio to an Amped BTSA1 bluetooth receiver, connected to my sound system. After updating to Windows 10 20H2, my bluetooth dongle which worked for a year started throwing error codes and disconnected immediately after booting the computer. The other old key would have worked, but the volume was either maxed out or zero (disabling absolute volume in the registry gave me the ability to adjust the volume, but I couldn't turn it up loud enough to hear it). The very old Dell dongle worked about half the time, the other half I couldn't hear anything through the Bluetooth speakers, and the keyboard and audio seemed to interfere with each other. When I received this adapter I was dismayed. understand that the bluetooth part requires a USB connection to the internal port of the computer for fear of unreliable bluetooth adapter #4. However, the installation from the supplied diskette went flawlessly; Connection to my bluetooth devices was smooth, no visible problems syncing to audio when watching videos. The range is much better than micro dongles and the Wi-Fi is lightning fast too. Assuming it continues to work, I highly recommend this device. Make sure your motherboard has an internal USB port to connect the Bluetooth range if you need this feature (cable included with the low-profile bracket).
