Review on Men'S Oboz Tamarack BDry Hiking Shoe With Waterproof Technology by Thomas Taylor

Revainrating 5 out of 5

New standard in hikers

These are the first Oboz I've purchased and I can definitely recommend them. This is a sturdy well constructed hiking shoe for day hikes. I'm not a big pack packer so a high top hiking boot is not important to me but I do appreciate sturdy support. Holding a hiking shoe or boot in my hands and bending the toe upward, I like a definite stiffness. These shoes have that feel I'm looking for. The soles held up to the abrasive tufa environment at Mono Lake and day hikes in Yosemite and the eastern Sierras. I'm 6'4" 240lbs and find these hikers offer me exceptional support for low cut hikers. I definitely recommend these hikers. I will definitely consider Oboz for my next buy.

Pros
  • Breathable materials prevent your feet from overheating
Cons
  • May not provide enough traction on loose gravel or rocks
