They have a very good sturdy construction with good support

I really wanted these shoes to workout, unfortunately they ended up being a touch too narrow for my feet which are a bit wide. They have a very good sturdy construction with good support. As mentioned in some reviews they did lack traction on certain manmade surfaces such as cement floors and such but otherwise have great knobby traction which will be great in the outdoors and hiking situations. Seems like a nice shoe but still just didn't workout for me.

Pros
  • Good arch support to prevent fatigue and pain
Cons
  • Not suitable for those with sensory issues

Looks smart, feels great, super durable

Oboz are my go to shoes for daily wear. I have a pair of oboz saw tooth ankle high hiking boots also. After months of grappling with disturbing annoying pain in my foot and hunting for many pair of shoes with the right arch support, I decided to try the hiking boots and realized my feet were in heaven. That's when I decided to give oboz tamarack a go. The o-fit insoles are great - they do indeed help with probation and arch support. These shoes look really good for daily wear specially with…

Pros
  • Great shoes so far. They fit well and feel good.
Cons
  • The tongue may slip to the side while walking

Not wide enough on my review.

Great looking shoe! Purchased the 8.5 "wide". Which turned out to be not wide at all. For reference - a Keen 8.5 standard width fits me fine. The Oboz "wide" were tighter than keen standard. Bummer. would have loved to keep these shoes.

Pros
  • I love these shoes on my 3rd pair. Put many of many miles on them.
Cons
  • Mesh panels may not provide enough breathability in humid climates

I've hiked for years in these. Haven't found a better fit anywhere.

I have a difficult foot to fit, narrow heels, wide forefoot. These OBOZ are the closest I've been able to come to a comfortable fit. I wear them with orthotics so I can't comment on the stock arch support. I end up replacing them about once ever two years, but I probably hike 20 to 30 miles a week. BeDry system has been reliable, and the toe protection is good when I hit a rock or root.

Pros
  • Superior grip and traction on slippery surfaces
Cons
  • Lacks cushioning for those with weight concerns

Oboz Needs 12-1/2 best in my review

Great shoe. I wore out a size 12, but it was always on the small size, so I bought new ones, but they only make a size 13. Surprise! The 13 is a little on the big side. Only negative about the shoe is the soles can slip under the right circumstances. Wet rocks are the one thing these shoes don’t handle well, but everything else is greatOne thing I failed to mention - DO NOT wear these if conditions are icy. They are the equivalent of ice skates.

Pros
  • Grippy sole works well on rocks, logs, and other obstacles
Cons
  • May cause joint pain after extended use

Great shoes! on my review.

They look great and fit great and are comfortable straight out of the box. I’ve had other Oboz shoes that didn’t fit as expected but these take the cake. I got them for traveling shoes, to do a lot of hiking in Ireland, and I had time to break them before leaving. They’re great.

Pros
  • Oboz brand is known for high quality and durability
Cons
  • May not provide enough support for heavy loads

Heavy price tag, but worth it

Fit a little snug on my feet, but I'd rather it be snug than loose on my hikes. These shoes held up well on my hikes throughout costa rica, and even lasted during white water rafting. They kept my feet dry, but during full immersion held the water in (these aren't designed to go swimming in though). It was a heavy price tag, but I definitely saw the quality when they were in use.

Pros
  • This is my second pair, different model, on my feet at work 14 hr - 16 hr days and my feet are happy
Cons
  • Runs small, may require going up a size

Fourth pair! Outstanding

Always buy two at a time. Love these shoes. Fit perfectly out of the box, no break-in needed, very rugged. I wear them a ton for walking on streets, wet grass, light trails. They last a long time and clean up quickly and easily. I'm a picky person and can't think of anything I don't like about these shoes!

Pros
  • Love everything EXCEPT not slip resistant.
Cons
  • Too expensive for budget shoppers

EXCELLENT, but hot - my new review

Simply the BEST and most comfortable hiking shoe.outer sole and cushioning. Sadly, however, bc it is a waterproof, there is not much ‘breath-ability” to the shoe and you feet will sweat in almost all conditions. With that being stated, I think OBOZ shoes are the best hikers currently available.

Pros
  • High-quality materials maintain their shape and support
Cons
  • May cause calluses or blisters on the bottom of the foot

great for flat, wide feet

My son has terrible feet- wide and no arches- and he really loves these shoes. He does also need an orthotic insert, but the two together are very comfortable for him.

Pros
  • Men
Cons
  • Not recommended for extended backpacking trips

Can't go wrong with these shoes.

My new Tamarack's are very comfortable which is sort of a given because OBOZ makes them. The insert is exceptional; however, because of my super flat feet I have to wear my own inserts. Also, I size up on all my hiking shoes or boots, so if you are true 13, I suggest go one size higher, if possible.OBOZ, in my opinion are like Garmont, in that their shoes/boots are wider than your normal Euro hiking boot/shoe.For example, w/LOWA or ASOLO - I must order wide. With OBOZ or Garmont - I do not. (If…

Pros
  • Wider heel base helps prevent ankle rolling
Cons
  • The shoe may not be breathable enough for hotter temperatures

New standard in hikers

These are the first Oboz I've purchased and I can definitely recommend them. This is a sturdy well constructed hiking shoe for day hikes. I'm not a big pack packer so a high top hiking boot is not important to me but I do appreciate sturdy support. Holding a hiking shoe or boot in my hands and bending the toe upward, I like a definite stiffness. These shoes have that feel I'm looking for. The soles held up to the abrasive tufa environment at Mono Lake and day hikes in Yosemite and the eastern…

Pros
  • Breathable materials prevent your feet from overheating
Cons
  • May not provide enough traction on loose gravel or rocks

This is the best trail shoe out there by far!

I absolutely love this shoe. This is my 3rd pair of this exact same shoe. You can not wear them out. I still have the other pairs. They just dont look as nice any more. The soles last forever and they stay waterproof. This is the best trail shoe out there by far!

Pros
  • Quality shoe with excellent support
Cons
  • The tread may wear down quicker than expected

More and different stock than stores and delivery is always

I bought these shoes for my son. He has a wide foot and a high arch. He bought a pair from Revain and loved them so then I purchased another pair for him so he can rotate his shoes every other day which will be good for his feet. I think Revain is awesome!

Pros
  • Easy to clean after a tough hike
Cons
  • Not suitable for those with bunions or hammertoes

Another pair of Oboz in my closet

I bought my first pair of Oboz when the store didn't have the Merrells I usually bought in my size. Loved them from the start. Fit comfortably, wore well and were waterproof. Unfortunately, I surprised a skunk while I was wearing them and, coincidentally, just about when it was time to replace the Merrells. I bought a pair of each and alternated days wearing them until Merrells were due for replacement. The Oboz were still solid and lasted almost another 3 months. I replaced the Merrells with…

Pros
  • My favorite hiking shoe
Cons
  • May not be durable enough for harsh terrain
