High-quality, stylish alternative to the wooden rowing gate!

The Perma child safety gate consists of a combination of high quality plastic and metal parts. This is a very strong and super stylish secure alternative to the typical gates out there! The gate took only five minutes to install and was fully functional. We use the gate to keep dogs out of my daughter's room while she is at home with her little ones (guinea pigs named Timon and Pumbaa) over the winter holidays. It looks absolutely beautiful and fits! I didn't have to use any of the included mounting brackets (along with screws) and foam pads for my application, but you should definitely use these with younger children to keep the gate secure. Gates have a two-tier security system. First, the latch you pressed with your other hand slightly raises the gate about an inch to open forwards or backwards. The sides and bottom don't lift, just spring-loaded hinges that attach to the gate. This is very easy once the gate is securely in place. I wanted to point out that you need two hands to open it. The security feature outweighs the simplicity in my opinion. The gate in the closed position is securely fastened at all four endpoints. Very durable and easy to care for. In terms of safety, this will definitely pass the test. The plexiglass is thick and there is a really nice two stage security mechanism on the gate. It also closes automatically unless you click on it to keep it open at around ninety degrees. Overall I would recommend it to my adult children and friends without a doubt. This is the first time I've seen such an elegant gate, perfect for a full view room so you can see what's going on and your child isn't looking at you through the bars.
