Review on 🌞 Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Aging Perfector: Tinted Facial Moisturizer with Retinol, SPF 20 by Robert Edmondson

Not the best for tinted moisturizers

The amount of retinol here should be so, so, so small that it can be neglected because after using the entire tube I would never believe that retinol is an ingredient in this formula is if I didn't already know it. I have a lot of experience with retinol and retinoids. I've used Retin-A, Differin, Tazorac, and Accutane over the years, all of which have had great success in rejuvenating my skin. With constant but limited use, retinol is the best anti-aging ingredient to spend money on as it will give you reliable results and a fresh layer of skin. But with this makeup, I saw almost no improvement or any hint of the standard retinol shine. So I suspect the amount of retinol here is almost useless. Also, this is not a cosmetically elegant formula. It smells like wet brown paper bags, and while it spreads fairly easily, I've noticed that the pump always releases a solid drop on the first squeeze. You must either pull out a drop each time or deliver the first pump. After wearing the formula for an hour at normal temperature, it begins to stick together and spread around the nose and mouth. So I have to be very careful not to comb my face out of distraction, otherwise I leave little puddles and make-up stains. DISCOVER! I would definitely not buy this product again in the future. I love BB creams for how easy they are to use, especially if I just want an all-in-one cream for my daily run or errands. But I'd rather find another product (like Revlon PhotoReady) that isn't as clunky and clumpy.
