I have a 2006 Mazda3 with manual transmission. I didn't want to pay hundreds of dollars to plug my iPod or phone directly into my car stereo. I saw it and bought it because it was so cheap. I thought if it works, great! otherwise. I wouldn't lose much. But it works great. I've had it for over 3 months now and I listen to my phone 3 hours a day on the way to and from work. Installation is that easy. YouTube will show you 4 screws to take out. Literally. Only 4 screws. The Mazda's radio slides out so you can reach out from behind to connect this cable. The cable is long enough to reach almost anywhere in the car if you route the cable to the gearbox and between the two front seats to the middle. Console Installed by drilling a hole near the cup holders and inserting a female connector into the plastic. Then plug this wire into the bottom of the plug and I keep a 3.5mm plug wire in the car. I like this setup because it looks pretty slick and if I don't want the cable hanging out of my car I just unplug the male to male cable and it's gone. The radio has a "Media" button (e.g. FM/AM or CD). ), and once the cable was connected, the radio recognized it with no problems or difficulties. I plugged it in and it just worked. Best purchase I've ever made for my car.
