Expensive but works well despite low Bluetooth range

I have a car that is rarely used. It can be used multiple times a week and driven less than 20 miles a week. Usage patterns almost guarantee a dead battery eventually, which is why I charged it weekly for years. I recently became interested in solar panels and found a battery charging solar panel. But as someone who diligently takes care of their car battery, I had two questions about my solar charger and the tried and tested battery tender. Would an unregulated 10w solar panel overcharge my battery which would be bad and counterproductive. Will the solar panel keep my battery sufficiently charged? This bluetooth battery gauge helps me answer both questions. The first two images attached show how the battery voltage increases during the day when the sun is shining. However, the voltage never exceeds 13.5V, which is considered a safe float charge voltage for lead-acid batteries. The pictures also show what I find to be a very useful feature of the gauge. It sends all the data collected when connected to the phone and it is possible to place the cursor on the chart. The answer to my second question is not yet - the amount of charge coming from the solar panel is not enough. Keep my battery satisfactorily charged. Collecting data over several days and using the cursor, I see that the battery voltage has dropped from 6am Saturday to 6am Monday. So today I decided to connect the battery tender. The voltage waveform clearly shows when I unplugged the solar panel and plugged in a tender which charged the battery until it went into float voltage mode. The only effort to get all this information is to get in the car and download the data once a day. So why not a 5 star rating. There are two reasons. Firstly, this item costs $40 which seems expensive given the convenience it offers. Also, there are reviews that mention that the device is not very durable and for the money I want the device to last for years not months. Secondly, the range of Bluetooth is very short. The battery is located on the driver's side next to the headlight. The Bluetooth meter doesn't connect to my phone when I walk past the passenger door, so the range is about 10 feet, well short of the 33 feet listed in the product description.
